Not too sure...

Hello: I have had an edublogs site for a few months now and have found it great. Now I stumble across blogs.mu...so why would I want to move over to here? If it is run by the same folk and uses WP as its core, what benefits are there for me?

I can see some in having multiple sub-sites for various users (sub-blogs?) but I would need to be able to showcase them on my main page. Is that possible? Can I import/migrate all of my edublogs posts to here? Or would I be starting from fresh?

The simple question is: Should I bother with blogs.mu?

Hiya,

but I would need to be able to showcase them on my main page. Is that possible?

There are widgets available to display blogs, posts and comments from your entire Blogs.mu site.

The simple question is: Should I bother with blogs.mu?

That is entirely up to you :)

Thanks,
Andrew

"Should I bother with blogs.mu?" I would also add depends if you are wanting to use the blogs with students.

If you have students with their own blogs and want to have the highest level of control on those blogs blogs.mu and Edublogs Campus provide you with greater control than using Edublogs blogs with your students. This is because both mean you can be a site admin user. I recommend you read my post that explains the difference in features between Edublogs, Edublogs Campus and blogs.mu.
